The Boxia® Plus Drop Foot AFO is one of the UK’s leading orthotic solutions for the discreet treatment of foot drop. Designed to restore confidence and improve walking safety, this lightweight ankle-foot orthosis provides controlled foot lift during the swing phase of gait, helping to reduce the risk of tripping over everyday obstacles.

Unlike many traditional foot drop braces, the Boxia® Plus features an innovative one-handed application system, allowing users to fit and remove the orthosis independently. This makes it an excellent choice for individuals with reduced hand function or limited mobility who want to maintain their independence.

Constructed from soft, micro-perforated breathable fabric, the orthosis remains comfortable throughout the day while helping to reduce heat build-up. The adjustable ankle cuff provides a secure, personalised fit, while the elastic traction band gently maintains the foot in a neutral position to improve dorsiflexion during walking.

The Boxia® Plus also incorporates an Achilles support with integrated pressure-relief points, creating a gentle massage effect that improves comfort while distributing pressure more evenly. An anti-slip footwear hook and multiple S-hook attachment options provide excellent stability and allow fine adjustments for improved foot alignment.

What is an AFO?
