Description
Puffin Supramalleolar AFO
The Puffin Supramalleolar (AFO) is a lightweight, dynamic device created to provide enhanced ankle and foot stability. Designed with dual-density materials, it combines comfort with corrective support, making it especially beneficial for children and individuals with moderate overpronation, supination, or ankle instability.
By encompassing the hindfoot and dorsal midfoot, the Puffin AFO offers containment and mediolateral stability, supporting proper foot alignment and reducing excessive rolling inwards or outwards. This helps facilitate a smoother, more natural gait, while supporting functional development and confidence in mobility.
Its low-profile design is discreet and comfortable, with a soft, pressure-relieving interior that reduces the risk of skin irritation even during extended wear. The adjustable Velcro® strap system allows for a secure and customised fit, while the lightweight construction makes it ideal for daily use.

What is an AFO?
Ankle-Foot Orthoses (AFOs) are medical devices designed to support and stabilize the ankle and foot. They are commonly prescribed for individuals with neurological or musculoskeletal conditions that affect gait, balance, or lower limb strength. AFOs help improve walking efficiency, reduce the risk of falls, and provide comfort by aligning the foot and ankle into a more natural position.
