What is a TLSO?

A TLSO (Thoraco-Lumbo-Sacral Orthosis) is a spinal brace designed to support the mid-to-lower spine. We offer both single-piece and dual-piece TLSOs, depending on the individual’s clinical needs. These braces are typically used for conditions such as scoliosis, spinal fractures, post-operative recovery, or neuromuscular disorders.

• Single TLSOs are moulded as one piece and are often more lightweight and discreet—ideal for certain postural conditions or early-stage scoliosis.
• Dual TLSOs come in two parts (anterior and posterior) and offer a higher degree of adjustability and support—frequently used in post-surgical care or complex spinal instability.

Each TLSO is designed using state-of-the-art scanning or casting techniques to ensure a precise anatomical fit. Our spinal bracing approach is clinically led and shaped by decades of combined expertise in spinal orthotics.

Spinal Casting & Moulding

In cases where extra precision or custom contouring is required, we offer plaster casting services, particularly for paediatric patients or complex spinal presentations. This ensures the brace is formed exactly to the individual’s shape, supporting correction while prioritising comfort and wearability. Casting can be done in a seated, standing, or supine position, depending on clinical requirements, and our team works to make the experience as calm and efficient as possible.

Our spinal orthoses are manufactured in-house at our UK-based facility, where our technicians build each device in close collaboration with the referring orthotist. We ensure high-quality materials, consistent turnarounds, and close communication from assessment through to fitting.
