Once your orthosis has been manufactured, it will be delivered to the clinic where your face-to-face assessment took place. At your fitting appointment, our orthotists will ensure the device is properly applied, walk you through how to use and care for it, and check that it meets your specific needs. If any adjustments are required, they will be carried out on-site at our advanced manufacturing facilities to ensure a precise and comfortable fit.

What to Expect at a Fitting

Your fitting appointment will be scheduled based on manufacturing and delivery timelines, and confirmed during your face-to-face assessment. When you arrive at the clinic, our orthotist will help fit the device to you or your child/young person (CYP) and explain how to put it on correctly at home. This hands-on guidance is key to building confidence in day-to-day use of the orthosis.

Each orthosis comes with a care leaflet that includes clear instructions on how to clean and maintain the device. The leaflet also contains your unique order number, which can be used to reorder the same orthosis (in terms of size, fit, and style) if your needs remain unchanged. This helps streamline future care and adjustments.

Tailored Adjustments for Optimal Fit

Once the device is fitted, our orthotist will assess how it feels and functions, looking closely at areas where it may rub, pinch, or need fine-tuning. If any issues are found, these can usually be resolved during the same visit, thanks to our co-located manufacturing teams. This ensures you leave the clinic with a device that fits properly and is ready for immediate use.

If further changes are needed over time—whether due to growth, wear, or changes in your condition—follow-up appointments can be arranged quickly.
